Call for Proposals of Local Projects on Health & Medicine / Education & Youth Development for FY2026 (Deadline: January 13th, 2026)

The Asian Community Trust (ACT) aims to build a “Bridge of Mutual Help and Resource Sharing” in civil societies across Asia. To pursue this aim, ACT assists projects developed by local people’s groups, NGOs and other civil society organizations with the purpose of improving people’s quality of life in their own communities and sharing their successes with others.

Project criteria

For the fiscal year 2026, ACT is calling for project proposals to which any of the following conditions apply:

Area of focus
  1. Education and Youth Development (Scholarship type)
  2. Education and Youth Development (Non-scholarship type)
  3. Health and Medicine
  • An applicant is non-profit organization or educational institution required to have either legal status or to be registered with a responsible public entity. It is also required to be transparent about its activities and financial condition.
  • Organizations that received grants from ACT during the 2024 fiscal year (April 2024 to March 2025) or earlier, and whose applications for funding for the same or similar projects were not approved for the ACT grant of 2025 fiscal year (April 2025 to March 2026), are not eligible to apply.
  • Please note that ACT will accept only one project proposal from the same organization. If you apply in other project categories of ACT (either of the following categories), you will not be able to apply in this category.
  • Local projects by Asian Alumni of Japanese Universities and Training Institutions
  • Local projects for leprosy patients
Countries of focus ACT will focus on the following countries: Cambodia, Indonesia, and the Philippines
Project costs From 1,000,000 to 2,000,000 Japanese Yen per year and per project
Duration of ACT grant Up to three (3) years, depending on the nature of the project. Continuation of funding is based on the results of its performance upon evaluation.

Interested parties are requested to send their project proposals directly to the Tokyo ACT Office by email by 23:59 of January 13th, 2026 (Tuesday), Japan time (JST/GMT+09:00).
